AfroDJ Fest: how we toured three nations in one month

There is a clear difference between organising a single event and taking an entire experience across borders. AfroDJ Fest pushed me into a space where planning alone was not enough. Execution had to be flawless, repeatedly.

Three countries in one month sounds exciting until you are in the middle of it. Flights, equipment, time zones, venue coordination. Every location had its own challenges. Every audience had its own expectations.

What kept me focused was the vision. Afro culture is not confined to one place. It moves. It connects. It evolves. I wanted each stop to reflect that.

The pace was intense. One day you are setting up in one city, the next you are already preparing for the next crowd. There is very little time to reflect. You are constantly adjusting, solving problems, and making sure the experience remains consistent.

But the reward shows up in real time. Seeing people from different backgrounds respond to the same music, the same energy, is powerful. It reinforces why this work matters.

By the end of the tour, exhaustion was real. But so was the sense of achievement. We did not just move from one place to another. We carried a culture with us and watched it resonate in different environments.

That is what made it worth it.
